Igloo Airstream 2013

Igloo Airstream 2013

Visit the Igloo Airstream cruiser from about 12noon to 7pm  next to the Cycle Hub on the Quayside. Join the discussion about future developments in the Lower Ouseburn Valley with the festival sponsors, Igloo.

Victoria Tunnel “taster” tours. Starting on the hour from 1pm to 4pm. Pre-book at Ouseburn Trust Office in Arch 6 at the foot of Stepney Bank.

Northern Print 12 noon to 4pm Gallery open, exhibiting ‘Insecticides’ prints by internationally renowned artist Mat Collishaw. We will also have an array of printing stamps and inkpads available for kids to come and use and coffee for the adults.

Ouseburn Farm 12 noon to 4pm
Children’s fancy dress and crafty object making sessions at Ouseburn Farm. All materials provided. Free. Bring your 8-10 year olds to make banners and ‘things’ for the Sunday Parade.

Holy Biscuit 2pm to 3pm Artist Julia Tryon talks about the different cultural and religious influences of Shieldfield and Ouseburn. The exhibition of her work produced as artist in residence at the Holy Biscuit reveals some inspiring connections between the Lindisfarne Gospels and the area.

36 Lime Street 12noon to 6pm The Hang Gang presents RIP. The Hang Gang is a collective of artists including Matthew Hearn, Sebastian Trend and Thomas Whittle. Interested in ideas of the poster and the printed/reproduced image, RIP presents a series of new works which draw together layers and elements of stolen, borrowed and plundered imagery.
